Redirection
The video and images show the acquisition of a drone target’s GPS system and its redirection by sending reconfigured GPS signals to redirect the drone to a desired target position.
The velocity, acceleration and jerk are controlled to ensure that the drone does not detect that it is being redirected.
The drone is guided into an approach phase and a descent to capture at a desired landing point whilst its internal guidance system believes it is directing it to its second waypoint.
The mathematics involved is primarily linear algebra and spline curve techniques to ensure smooth transitions between the phases of the trajectories.
